The site is a project of the Child Care Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Reading Rockets
This site, prepared by WETA public television, presents strategies, activities, and lessons designed to help young children learn to read.

StoryBlocks.org
An online video collection of one-minute songs and rhymes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. In this excellent new resource, librarians perform songs and rhymes designed to help young children acquire early literacy skills, the building blocks for reading.
